i just readyour post on our website and want to thank you…I have to admit we were kind of lazy recently, but I am about to catch up with new stories and probably even giving the site a new facelift. i was happy reading your post that you like our site. It makes travelling even more fun to post about it. I can see, you think the same (-;

Hi Maggie – I’m from an english backwater town called Bacup and don’t get to see much beyond the local hills. Your web sends out a wondrous fresh view. You do the travelling gal and, if I may, I’ll sit and watch and learn.

Doing loose sums, I think I’m at least 10 yrs older than you. You don’t know what you want to be when you grow up. – I’m still trying to work out what ‘grown up’ means. – How do people get to be adults? – I’ve never managed it.

Thank you, thank you for a lovely visit!! I miss seeing you, so hope it’s not another ‘ten’ .. yes ’10′ years again. Time seems to slip by quickly these days.

Love your photos and blog, happened into it while looking for photos of Lynden. Funny about the dancing issue. So many people who live here believe that they don’t allow dancing. Hasn’t been true for over 30 years. What they don’t allow is dancing in a place that also serves alcohol concurrent with the dancing. Dances and dancing are permitted in any other setting, and in fact, there are several dance schools, dance programs, and groups that are full of great Jazz, modern, and Ballet dancers, along with other cultral dances.

Even “Left Side Productions” who holds those “teen in heat” dances around the county holds them in Lynden too, there’s just no alcohol allowed, though many kids of course bring their own booze or drugs to try and smuggle in or use before arriving!

So probably the only unique thing about dancing here is that you can’t formally serve alcohol while have a dance.
